Hi, I'm Mary Buzzard. An introspective purveyor of ideas.
I am What I am and What the World has Made Me.
I'm a spicy Southern spirit, sometimes saucy, sometimes salty, but always self-respecting and sensitive to the needs of others. I'm passionate about people, animals, societal progress, Capitalism & economic theory and solving problems, not piling on.
My go-to's: Bourbon, Scotch whisky & wine; baseball (Cubbies!), football and Golf; running (from, not to, wink wink), cooking, being in/on/near the water; German-engineered automobiles. And most importantly, my son.
Bred from a couple of strong-willed and outspoken Midwesterners, I've called 'home' to the industrial armpit of brotherly love, a town that proudly bears a Crown, a state capital perfectly poised between high peaks and sandy Carolina beaches, a big city that was originally named for its inherent garlicky odor, but these days often smells of chocolate, and my current locale - a history-rich coastal gem on the Atlantic. Home is that place where your head and heart are most content. I love my home.
I've spent nearly two decades as a "young professional," and now find myself between gigs, full of questions, unsure of the answers, and just looking to grab whatever life doles out for the tasting - good, bad or indifferent.
